Network Monitoring Software Features
Net Orbit network monitoring software gives a supervisor or administrator the tools they need to monitor and filter employee or student computer activity. Net Orbit gives you the Online Control Panel where multiple devices can be monitored in one place. The powerful admin tools, and flexibility to scale & adjust settings, allow Net Orbit to match your company size and monitoring needs.
The Network Monitoring section has two different type of features. The first type is that of Live Monitoring. Certain functions can be performed live to instantly "check-up" on a user. The second type of monitoring is Logged Monitoring, which is specific activity that can be viewed when you are ready.
Net Orbit allows you to check-in one, some or all users at once. This shows you whether they are doing what they are supposed to be doing. These features allow you to effectively watch all users' actions in real time.

View LIVE Screen
View thumbnails of the entire company which constantly refresh to the latest live image.
You can now view employees’ computers LIVE! The LIVE client/employee screens tell administrators what they are working on and any screen can be zoomed into for more details.
Net Orbit allows the administrator to view Events as they happen for any user!
The Net Orbit LIVE Command features let administrators take immediate action when needed. Select a user to shutdown, restart or logoff their computer.
Zoom In Single User
Enlarge a user's LIVE screen to full-size window in order to view actual size live screenshot.
When viewing LIVE screenshots, use the enlarge screen button to view a specific user's computer screen at its actual size, in full screen mode and in real time. The live screenshots are updated about every 20 seconds.
View Multiple LIVE Screens
View the current screens of multiple computers in a single window.
The View Live Screen features lets you see the current screens of multiple devices at a time. The area for each live screen displays the device's user name, its operating system, online/offline status, and the date/time of the current screen. You also get shutdown/restart/logoff buttons for each screen so you can quickly deal with unapproved behavior.
2) Logged Monitoring
Once install onto each computer that you own and have proper consent to monitor, it immediately begins to log activities. Activities such as websites visited, apps used, chat/IM and much more are logged. View the logs when you are ready with your own Online Control Panel.
Net Orbit can handle a large network of Windows and Mac computers with one account.
When an administrator wants to view the activity of a client PC, they login to their all-in-one Online Control Panel. This allows them to view all of the activity logs for all monitored computers.
Logs can be exported for storage in PDF, CSV, XLS and TXT files. Logs can be printed from within the panel and can copied and then pasted into an email. See below for a complete list of what Net Orbit monitors:
Screenshots of your monitored computers are logged at intervals you choose.
The Screenshot Logs feature lets you view a group of screenshots logged over a period of time. Settings let you adjust the frequency and quality of the screenshots. The screenshots can view viewed in the Online Control Panel and they can be downloaded.
View the applications used on the monitored devices.
The Applications Used Logs show what applications were used by which users. You will see the start date/time, end date/time, username, title, and duration.
Web Sites Visited
Net Orbit logs web sites visited in Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and other popular browsers.
Each URL visited will be logged, along with the username, timestamp and the title of the page visited. URLs can be launched from within the logs viewer and can also be blocked. The administrator can navigate logs according to specific dates and also export all logs to PDF, XLS, CSV and TXT files.
Chat / IM
Net Orbit logs Chat / IM in popular instant messaging software including Yahoo!
The Chat / IM logging feature monitors Gtalk, Yahoo IM, Skype IM, ICQ and Paltalk. You get timestamp, username, title and the full content of the chat.
View logs of files and folders that your network user change.
Net Orbit monitors files and folders to let you know when they are changed. The log gives you date/time, username, file name, path and if file was added, renamed or removed.
View logs of what was copied/pasted on the monitored devices.
The Clipboard feature lets you view the full text of everything that is copied on your computers. You get the date and time of when the copy/paste was done, the username, title, path and content.
User Login Activity
View logs that show when your monitored devices login, log out and sleep.
The Login Activity Logs give you details about when your monitored devices login, log out and sleep. The logs display the date/time, username and the activity (login, log out, etc.).
View what is being done with the documents on your devices.
The Documents Tracking feature lets you view when documents were created, opened and edited. It shows time, username, event, filename and path.
View logs that show what documents were printed from your monitored devices.
The Printed Documents Logs feature lets you view when documents were printed and by whom. The logs display time, username, job ID, printer name and document name.
Get detailed system information about your monitored devices.
This page of your online control panel shows general information, memory status, and Windows shell folder paths. You get info about the OS platform, PC Name, Processor, last boot up time and more.
View IP Location
View the approximate (City) location based on the IP Address.
The IP Locations log shows the IP address for your monitored devices. The map view displays a map with the interactive GPS pin. The location list displays time, username, IP address, latitude/longitude, city, region, country and link to a dynamic Google map.
Top Ten Reports
View the top ten activities in each of several log types.
The Top Ten Reports feature gives you deep insight of the monitored activities at a glance. View reports in column chart or pie chart format. Download the charts to PNG image, JPEG image, PDF document, and SVG vector image formats.
The Net Orbit platform gives administrators the tools to customize and perform monitoring setups to meet their specific needs. Within the Online Control Panel itself, the logging settings can be adjusted, multiple devices can easily be managed, the activity logs can be exported, licenses added, updates downloaded and much more.
Online Control Panel
Perform monitoring and commands from anywhere, anytime, by using a computer, tablet or smartphone with internet.
The Online Control Panel lets you login to perform LIVE monitoring, view logs/alerts, and adjust filtering and other settings. Search and export logs, get the latest update and manage all of your devices in one account from anywhere.
Multiple Device Management
Net Orbit makes it easy to manage large networks in one account.
Quickly view all monitored computers in a single list showing user name and operating system, then click one from the list to view details about a single computer.
Get alerts about blocked event occurrences, you can have different alert settings for each monitored device.
The Notifications feature will display a log of events on your monitored computers if the user tries to access a blocked website or start a blocked application. It also shows if a USB device was plugged into or unplugged from the monitored computer. Notifications can be set to go to the Online Control Panel, to an email address, or both.
Settings, Export and Update
Online Control Panel lets you customize logging settings and get the latest update.
Login to change your logging settings, filtering and notifications settings, they can be different for each monitored device. You can also download the latest version of the client application when you are ready.
Statistics prove that websites and apps that you don't want being used on your devices by your employees are being used anyway. This wastes company time and money. Net Orbit gives content filtering that you can adjust to block the unwanted activities.
Block websites by address and by category. Block apps from a list of what's installed on the device. Even the Web Sites Visited log viewer is integrated to give a quick block action as you see what sites were visited.
Custom Website Filtering
Add URLs to blacklist to block access and add URLs to whitelist to allow access.
Custom website filtering lets you create blacklists of websites to block and whitelists of websites to allow. You can also quickly add websites to a user's blacklist when viewing the Websites Visited logs.
Website Category Filtering*
Block websites by categories such as porn, gambling and violence.
The Website Category filter allows you to select categories of websites to block.
Block selected applications on your monitored devices.
The Application Filtering allows you block and unblock individual apps from a list of installed applications. Each of you monitored devices can have different app filter settings if needed.
Blocked Activity Alerts
Get alerts when blocked applications and websites are opened.
With content filtering enabled, you will get alerts about users trying to open websites and applications that you have blocked, and you will get alerts when USB devices are plugged in and unplugged.
